From the GD&T Basics Team: Emily on Mavens of Manufacturing

In case you missed it—Emily recently sat down with Meaghan Ziemba on Mavens of Manufacturing to chat about her path into the industry, the power of clear communication (hint: GD&T), and why she loves her role, her team, and the company behind it all.
Whether you’re into career stories, leadership lessons, or just want a peek behind the scenes at GD&T Basics, give it a watch.

Wave Bending:

Client Highlight: Duncan Aviation

Talk about a glow-up! In this video, Duncan Aviation takes on the Grumman G-111 Albatross—a 61-year-old amphibious aircraft—and gives it a full interior installation. From bare bones to beautiful, this project is a perfect example of the craftsmanship and precision that makes us proud to work with teams like theirs. This video explains the importance of flatness in manufacturing and how it affects the positioning, mating, and sealing of parts. It describes various methods for achieving and assessing extreme levels of flatness. Topics like the use of feeler gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), surface grinding, lapping, and wringing are also discussed.
