Recursive Racks:

In this video, mathematician and mechanical artist, Henry Segerman, shows off his recursive gear rack mechanism- a series of interlocking straight gears using a rack-and-pinion mechanism to transmit motion. He has also made the files available if you would like to 3D print your own!
